FASHION SHOW!

Did you enjoy the Fashion Show held by High Levels WI instead of their regular April monthly meeting? If you didn’t attend you missed a wonderful evening and the opportunity to buy discounted fashions and have a chance in the amazing raffle.

Six members volunteered to “Strut their Stuff” and were extremely able models, enjoying themselves into the bargain. The evening began with the President, Jayne, explaining who High Levels WI is and what we do. She then thanked everyone. She thanked the models and all helpers from the membership. Then she thanked those who had bought tickets and those members who had contributed in any way to the wonderful raffle. Many local businesses who had donated vouchers and physical gifts were thanked by name and the Reindeer Inn, where the event was held, was thanked for their support too.

Then it was over to Kath Finnan of the Complete Clothing Company. She informed the audience of the format of the evening: the modelling of a selection of her enormous range of ladies’ wear and the availability of a fitting room for prospective purchasers and also her range of accessories and perfumes all available after the catwalk display.

As the models paraded the audience clapped and cheered.  The raffle was drawn and prizes collected and then ladies eagerly searched for outfits which had taken their eye and other fashion bargains. Kath had a queue very quickly. She accepted cash or card making life simple and many of the audience clung onto their purchases while continuing to enjoy refreshments of various types.

The evening appeared to be very successful and the following day members were informed of the amazing financial result. The proceeds are to go to Firefly, a Doncaster based charity providing support and free transport to local cancer patients and High Levels WI.
