Our first speaker for the year 2024 was John Armson, a first responder with Humberside fire brigade. John gave us an enlightening HeartStart workshop talking on life support and heart resuscitation, this was punctuated with a PowerPoint presentations, regarding gaining time for the patient in various emergency situations and the use of a defibrillator. We all learnt so much by his fantastic tutoring skills – he spoke for over two hours and not a note in sight. Attendance certificates would be sent through by the next meeting.
